Celebrating Success: HBRACC 2024 Annual Dinner Highlights

As the sun set on another eventful year, the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Cape Cod hosted the much-anticipated HBRACC 2024 Annual Dinner, encapsulating a year of dedication, community service, and industry excellence. With the buzz of excitement and the clinking of glasses, members gathered to reflect on a year that, despite challenges, yielded steady growth and unity among the Cape Cod building community. This event brought together the best and brightest in Cape Cod's building and construction community to reflect on the year’s achievements, recognize outstanding contributions, and set the stage for an exciting 2025.
We’re thrilled to share highlights from the evening, which was a perfect blend of professional collaboration, celebration, and festive cheer.
A Night of Gratitude and Milestones
The evening kicked off with the ceremonial calling to order by the Association’s president, April Ducott who welcomed the members and announced a quorum. April's opening remarks set the tone for the evening, expressing profound gratitude for the members’ unwavering dedication to homeownership and community service.
This year, HBRACC not only faced challenges but thrived through them, showing remarkable resilience and adaptability. Under the diligent leadership of the Board and Executive Committee, the Association saw a pivotal shift in its operational strategies, outsourcing finances to enhance efficiency and oversight, leading to a robust organizational structure primed for future successes.
Celebrating Growth and Community Impact
2024 was marked by an impressive increase in membership, with the Association being lauded for its seamless management of events, notably the annual Cape Cod golf tournament and the community-favorite bowling tournament. The “At Home” publication, an HBRACC staple, reached new heights with a record-breaking fall issue, thanks to targeted efforts to reach potential clients more effectively.
The heart of HBRACC’s mission—giving back to the community—was vividly showcased through numerous initiatives. Noteworthy among these was the Blitz Build event for Habitat for Humanity, which saw the construction of a home within a week, and the support extended to the Housing Assistance Corporation to aid in addressing the housing shortage on Cape Cod.
Leadership and Vision for the Future
The dinner was also an opportunity to introduce new faces and honor the stalwarts of the HBRACC community. Stefanie Coxe, the newly appointed Executive Officer, brought a fresh perspective on housing policy and community engagement, promising to drive forward the Association’s advocacy and educational endeavors.
